Powerstep

The automatic retractable full-length running board.

In less than 1.3 seconds after opening any door, Powerstep automatically extends down providing a natural 10-12 inch step height.

Powerstep automatically presents a step assist low enough for women and even children to easily climb in and out of the tallest trucks.

When doors close, Powerstep retracts up and under the truck, flush with the rocker panel, keeping step surfaces free of mud, snow and road grime.

THE AMP Research Power Step by Bestop is the first fully automated running board available on the market. The AMP Research Power Step is triggered by an electronic signal from the vehicles factory door sensors and extends to a convenient stepping height in about a second. Powered by an encased motor that is mounted easily under the vehicle, the AMP Research Power Step is lowered when any door is opened. A closed door sends the automatic running board retracting to the neatly concealed pocket behind the vehicles OEM rocker panels, so invisible, you'll never even know it was there.

The step portion of the AMP Research Power Step is a painted aluminum extrusion and is capable of handling up to 600 lbs. capacity per side. The step itself is wide and flat allowing for good foot placement, and in the lowered position, it extends outward 10-12" allowing occupants to take more of a natural step in or out of the vehicle. A no-slip textured surface allows for usage in all weather conditions. The AMP Research Power Step has been tested in a variety of environments and temperatures from -40F to +200F.

ONE EASY STEP.		 No other running board, or tube step can match the ease of entry the AMP RESEARCH Power Step provides. Now everyone from moms and dads, tots and teens, even grandmas and grandpas can easily enter and exit even the tallest truck cabs. Close the truck doors, and this full-length running board
automatically retracts safely under the truck, out of sight.
Typical installation time takes under two hours. Each package includes left and right side running board assemblies, mounting hardware, OEM quality wiring harness, control module and detailed installation guide. (Professional installation is recommended.)
