Rail N Racks hinge system allows you to convert the bedrails into a rack
in just sixty seconds without any tools. Rail-N-Rack is three automotive
accessories in one. It is an overhead rack, a pair of attractive bedrails,
and protective bedcaps. In the rack position you can easily carry 500
pounds while leaving your truck bed free. When you don't need a rack it
folds down to save fuel, reduce air noise, and keep your truck looking
great. The bedrails not only help your truck look great but they also
provide multiple tie-off points. The 1/8" steel angle base provides
full length bed cap protection from dings and dents that can occur while
loading and unloading. Rail-N-Rack comes with foam padding on the
underside of the base to help protect your truck from scratching.
You can easily haul sailboards,
surfboards, rafts, or any other long toys or haul any long construction
equipment. All this and still leave your truck bed open. Haul your
bicycles and your canoe or kayak at the same time. Then when you don't
need a rack you fold it down into a railing system.

Next you pivot up each of the four corner posts.
The corner posts are spring loaded to lock into position. Then you get out
the telescoping crossbars that are stored in their shipping container
behind the seat. Slide them open and slip them down over the corner posts
to the stops(2). 
Lastly push the crossbars open enough for tension and insert the bail
clip. Its that easy.
